Is there anyway they would sell me a base E500 for 1k over invoice -5k for the dealer cash?
That means I could buy a new E500 for around $49k!

Definitely a possibility. They are selling for that in California, both Northern and Southern CA, thru Cars Direct. I would think you could go to a dealer and get the same deal.

Last month, when the incentive was 4500 (w/ mb financing), i payed invoice - 4500 - another $ 750 into their holdback, so basically invoice - 5250. On top of that, the dealer had an pre-price increase car (saved 900 on that).

Congrats! How did they make money on that deal? Are you saying I can pay flat invoice like I see on Edmunds -5k?
What about the dealer advertizing fee et they strap on. I hear sometimes is is legit.

You should have a look at the Invoice before you buy. My salesman e-mailed me the Invoice and knocked $1,500 off it when I bought my 2004 E320. I did have to pay the advertising fee.

I got my 2005 E500 fully loaded with the entertainment package, appearance package, sunroof package and DVD/nav for 56K. Thats about 3 grand under invoice and 6 grand under MSRP.
