Passenger Seat Belt light???
Passenger got out of the car tonight in my '05 E320 tonight. After she left, the seat belt light would not go out and the beeping started. WTF???
Anything I can do to set/reset something? Is there a sensor to reset or does it just have a problem I need to visit the dealer for?
The light does go out and the beeping stops when I put the seat belt in the harness on the passenger side.
Thanks,
Dan K.

I had the same problem. The car still thinks that there is someone still in the passenger seat. Take it to the dealer and they'll do some adjustments to the sensor. Takes no more than a couple of hours.

i had the same problem. called the dealer and they told me that its because of my briefcase on the seat. the sensor was set for 9 lbs. it can be changed to 13 lbs or so max but can't be disabled. i just turn the radio up to override the beeping.

As I said earlier in this old thread the adjustment on the weight sensor on the Pass seat is out of adjustment or has a problem. Dealer can re callibrate or if that does not work change the sensor. Not a big deal. You cannot disable this feature but in the interim before you get to the dealers you can fasten the pass seat belt over the empty seat and that should silence it.
