What's amazing is that technology was over 10 years old. MB is already doing an amazing job at safety at the time when other manufactures don't even know how to spell the word safety.

Check out the comparitive test that Auto Motor und Sport conducted on the W124. Scroll down a bit. My 1991 300E is still safer than most cars.
