2004 E-class Halogen Upgrade to HID Question?

2004 E-class Halogen Upgrade to HID Question?
Just wondering if anyone here has done the retrofit using aftermarket HID kits on the market these days. I did a little digging around and found out the bulbs is a standard H7 size.
Looks like the HID kit does not have the proper plugs to match up to the OEM Mercedes plug so probably have to solder an adapter together.
But my main question is does changing headlight bulbs require removal of the headlight? And if so, does the bumper need to be removed?
In all honesty I thought all newer E-class has Xenon only until I saw this car. Will post some documented pics of the work when finished

The topic has come up frequently in this forum. Try searching this forum under "HID" (entire posting) or "Xenon" (title only - a lot of people have the word "Xenon" in their sigs). Sorry I can't directly answer your question, but I really don't care what the strangers I pass in the night think of the color of my lights. But that's just me. Dooby dooby do.
