AMG Illuminated Door Sills
I just got a set of AMG - logo illuminated door sills from Jerry at ForMyMercedes. There are no instructions included. Has anyone out there insatlled a set of these? Can someone give me a "for dummies" step-by-step with this? Where's the best source to tap in for the power, etc., etc.? Thanks guys!!

I've seen step-by-step illustrated instructions for installing some kind of illuminated door sills in this forum, hopefully the kind you have. Try searching under "illuminated door sills", or maybe somebody will recall the thread better than I do.

I checked into this and it's quite a job.. To do it right, where the lights are auto shuttoff after a certain delay you need to do a bit of fancy wiring, but if you just do it where they're powered all the time, you can tap power off the power seats.
I would find a body shop and have them do it, they'll charge you 2 hrs labor at most but it will be done right.

DO NOT try to do this buy yourself. There is complex wiring that must be done, and it requires cutting and drilling and painting. I would rather the dealer or someone who knows how to do it, do it. Clearly not a regular job for the amateur.

Instructions
Thanks, Kev! Got great, comprehensive instructions from AMGKOO's post. Copied them and will take the car somewhere this week to have someone else do the job. Too much for me to tackle!
