5-3-7 TRICK - DVD in motion
Okay, I have discovered exactly how the 5-3-7 trick works on a 2005 E500 European Car with TV and DVD.
1. Turn key to position 1 or 2
2. Turn on Command
3. Turn to Radio
4. Press 5 (continue holding and wait 1 second)
5. Press 3 (continue to hold along with 5 key and wait one second)
6. Press 7 and hold until the menu appears (about 2 seconds).
You can now change the look of the Command (color and start screen) and also change how it functions (USA versus Europe).
I still can not get the DVD to continue playing after I surpass "pedestrian speed". Does anyone know how to do this? I have already tried the SDS system at my dealer and it only includes an option to make it play up to "pedestrian speed" (about 5 mph). Can you change the setting for "Pedestrian speed"? My dealers system is updated to June 2005 vesion of Star Diagnostic.
Regards,

I don't get it, your car is a European spec? Or US?
The 5,3,7 trick, is that for going into the menu to change the screen, or is that to activate the DVD mode?
I always though it was impossible to play DVD thru the Comand.

For those who changed the STARTUP screen of the comand to AMG using the 5-3-7 keys...what does your instrument cluster display when you are in the AM mode of your radio?
Let me guess...no frequency displayed there...
As for the eurospec comand and DVD in motion enabled: unless your dealer has a stardiagnose with engineering acces - you can't enable DVD in motion.
greetingz,

How do you save?
Ok first of all, you rock for pointing this out the correct way, up to now I have never been able to access the menu and with these instructions it worked the very first time. BUT I have some question:
1) How the heck do you save any of these settings? I doesn't seem to stick.
2) What do some of the different settings get you? I can't see any changes, which is probably because I can't save the settings yet.
Thanks
