2005 E320 4matic downshift question

2005 E320 4matic downshift question
We used to have a 2003 E320. Recently got a 2005 4matic. When I went to downshift (D-), it shifted into 1, instead of going to 4 like it used to. This was just a tap. Even when at a stop, when I tap D-, it goes to 1 rather than 4 like it used to.
I have looked through the manual and I cannot seem to find anything other than when you do D- and hold it, it will shift to the optimium gear, but like i said this is just a tap.
How do I change it so that it when you tap D- it goes to 4, then 3, then 2, then 1.
