removal of front parking lamp
How do you remove the front parking light? (the 194 bulb in the inner 2 oval front lenses) I was thinking of putting in a hyper-white bulb for a more whitish parking light. When I reach for the back of the bulb I can unplug the harness with ease but how do you remove the bulb? It just kinda sits there. 194s are obviously push in bulbs not twist on. usually it is the bulb holder that clips on to a housing, not the bulb iteslf. I didn't want to fool around too much and risk it dropping into the reflector housing. I also thought of maybe a white LED replacement but that would cause a "bulb out" warning, wouldn't it.

The bulb holder clips out / in with a 45 degree twist. The bulb - W5W/158/168/194/2825 - does just push into the holder. BTW, an "Extreme White" bulb looks terrible when not lit since it is actually blue.

Slight clarification
To remove (and replace) the front parking lamp bulb (the terminology is my own):
1. Pull the power wire connector off the back of the bulb holder (the long black plastic piece). You may have to squeeze a catch on the connector to release it; not sure.
2. As stated, turn the bulb holder 45 degrees and pull it back from the reflector. The bulb is in there pretty tight and shouldn't come out as you remove the holder.
3. Pull the bulb out of the holder and and replace it. The standard AutoZone replacement bulb seems to be the Sylvania 2825; YMMV.
4. If the owner manual instructions for your MY are as useless as they are for my 2003, disregard them (what, pray tell, is a "headlamp cover", and why would I need to remove it to change a parking-light bulb?).
