I'm thankful to you for pointing out the way that Luxury Motors in Downers Grove, IL. treated you.
I soon after found out that they are well known as a shady franchise that sells many lemon cars and are unethical in their practices.

Wow, is it really capable of 40+ MPG? I have only been averaging between 27-30mpg so far, but that's because I love hearing the whistle of the turbo. Have you noticed any change in mileage with your new 17's?

Under optimal conditions, yes you can get 40+ MPG in a CDI. My best so far was 42.5 MPG on I-40 for serveral hundred miles as I was crossing New Mexico. At the time, I was on cruise control at 75 mph, but I also had a strong tailwind helping out.

Typical highway milage for me is 38-39 mpg.

I have not... as a matter when I got my record 42mpg, it was with them. I was doing 65mph with cruise control on the I-17...relatively flat freeway for about 25 miles. Temp was 95 degrees... I have a photo on my cell phone camera, I'm having trouble getting it to send. when I figure it out, I'll post the pic of the speedo.
