Looks great! Definitely prettier than the BMW..
Amazing what nice rims can do for the sporty looks of that car... BUT I have to take issue with (though it's your car, and you have to be happy) the removal of the hood ornament. that's 1/2 the coolness of driving a Benz for me is that ornament reminding staring at you as you drive that great car!

Wow nice and clean! Looks sexy! Looks way better than the Bimmer. Gorgeous wheels on both cars, good taste. (But be honest, don't you miss the handling of the 5er?) Did you get the LED tail-lights standard or did you pay extra?

You appear to have the full lighting package... Xenon, washers and LED rear lights (As opposed to regular bulbs).. this is a good thing.

The brake lights within your tail-lights don't have regular bulbs...they are LEDs and are standard equip on the E55. I imagine you had to have paid extra for them. The Bi-Xenon headlight lighting package doesn't include the LED tail-lights does it? Many on this forum have HIDs but without LED tail-lights right? This isn't listed as part of the options package. I was expecting mbusa to phase in the tail-lights because it shouldn't be a big deal; every other car in it's class has it standard issue; and S-classes have had them across the line since 2000. It's just that I just bought a "2006" E350 and already I got cheated by getting the "old" 16" wheels....they're 17" now. Don't tell me I got the "old" tail-lights too. Looks like I got the 2005 E350! (but it looks like I got the garbage "2006" armrest. Thanks! The worst of all worlds!) Me jealous!

I’m familiar with what LED tails are (I should have been clear with my post)…I was not/am not familiar with whether or not they are and/or have been included with the E-Class. Similar conversations going on, on the E60 (new 5) BMW boards…the new 3 got them but the 5 still does not have them
Here’s what I can tell you…my car 2006 E350 does in fact have LED tails and they were NOT a separate option…my car has the following 3 packages:
Wood wheel
Appearance Package
Premium w/Pano
Hope this helps
Chris

4 wheels
The appearance package has:
Airmatic Suspension
17" wheels
Lighting Package which includes LED taillights and Curve Sensing Xenon lights
Different front and rear bumpers and some other stuff.
Im not sure if they offer the blue tinted glass anymore, but my E350 still has it.

Nice Bimmer
What was the model of that Bimmer? 535i?540i?
How long did you own that Bimmer? How was the quaility? One of my friend is planning to sell his W211 for replacement of the new 5 series. Any comment will help. Thanks.

From one of my other posts...
Tell your friend to go to E60.net it's the best "new 5" site there is...a really good group of owners from all over the world
Well after two 545’s in the last 10 months…I am now happily behind the wheel of an E350.
First 545 had bad paint and the dealer took it back…second time around after logging 9500 miles in 8 months the car had been in the shop 37 days for 14 different items (ranging from squeaks and rattles to a new gas tank, steering rack, a tranny that would slam into gear…and a horn that would honk when the car went in reverse) / Even with all that it was going to be a real fight to get BMW to take the car back…so with full-disclosure I sold the car to someone that didn’t seem to mind. I don’t think my problems are typical for BMW…so Im not bashing the brand…but for me personally I’m done

I'd say the E350 is OK but can't come close to handling, stability, power or any driving dynamic of the 545i. That car drives amazing! That said.....my E350 looks better at least. I just couldn't live with an ugly car. (Hate the E60 redesign...the E39 was so perfect looking.)
By the way keeping your car simple and clean is a good philosophy. That look always looks great on German car. Your wheel choices on your BMW and MB are spot on like mine. I like wheels that have a lip and are staggered like that. Gives the car that strong kick butt look. Some like to go a little further but I don't think that's ricey, it's just taste. I don't think a good quality, tasteful sounding exhaust is ricey at all......going overboard is ricey: big wing spoilers, neon, bling chrome wheels, gold-plating, carbon-fiber hoods, huge stickers etc...now that's ricey. No place on an elegant automobile.
