You don't choose SBC, you get it when you buy certain models of Mercedes including the current E-Class.

Some hate it and some love it (me).. bottom line it's brake-by-wire, packs a lot of advanced features, eliminates the pulsating peddle when ABS is activated, and has predictive features... as well as more control over the ESP. That said, it's failed a few times leaving people with manual brakes (which apparently they didn't know they had) that require large amounts of braking effort to stop the car using the normal brake pedal.
