Question Seat heating. A worthwhile option?

Just a quick opinion on whether it is worth getting seat heating for my new E.

I live in an area were the Winter is cold but not freezing, and the car will have the standard leather seats.

The heating/ventilation option is a little to dear but just the seat heating version is more affordable.

Is it wothwhile and is it effective?

When ever my wife has to drive anywhere in winter she always pinches my car.I think she loves the heated seats more than me!

It's effective and warms up quick, adjustable with 3 settings. It's definitely worth getting with leather seats as they can feel a bit unpleasant when you get into the car on a cold day.
Definitely worth getting, especially if you are going to keep the car for 15-20 years, you will amortize all the options expenditure completely by then.

Where I live heated seats is standard equipment in all MB's so I guess it can be considered a very worthwhile option. I use it all the time in the cold months, and they are very effective and efficient.

When we got our ML we got heated seats because my wife wanted them - I did not.

Now that we have them, though, they are very nice - even here in Dallas. They get used off-and-on November through March. I'd go for it again!

I would get the ventilated, heated-and-cooled seats, though - that would be really "cool"!

Yes the ventilated seats would be great, but a little too dear for me.
I think I will order the heated seats though as the car will be with me for quite a while and seem to be worth the little extra.
