Passenger Seat Belt Reminder Chime Problem = New Seat
You may remember my post where I took my car in for a wheel balance (which they couldn’t fix) and the radiator came back damaged. They determined that the damage came from their needle-point pressure sprayer that the detail shop used as a pre-rinse to the car wash. So they agreed to the radiator/condenser replacement.
While it was in, I mentioned that the passenger seat still chimed even with a briefcase on it (it had been previously “fixed”) and that the dynamic drive memory intermittently worked (a previous repair too).
I learned that the car will need to be there for 12 days due to:
1) a completely new passenger seat frame and seat sensors to be air-shipped from the Old County; and 2) new, revised bushings for the front end to cure the remaining wheel vibration. I had not heard of these two solutions to these commonly reported problems. The new frame is supposed to fix the Dynamic Drive memory too.
The loaner ML350 certainly goes through the fuel faster than my CDI.
