Unhappy 05 CDI first problem, 12.5k miles

My 15 month old CDI was performing perfect until 2 weeks ago. One day after I started the car the egine ran rough on idle. I thought it may be bad fuel; usually I used BP's Premium Diesel. The problem showed up the following day when I came back from work, hot engine, runs rough when idle in Park.
I took it to the MB dealer and described the problem (Check Engine light is on)
After full day of testing dealer says it is the EGR valve which they ordered and will have car ready next day. After second full day of work on my CDI I picked up the car, came back to work and when going home the engine again started running like before. Next day after I pulled out from my garage I've noticed several spots of black oil AND green liquid on my new epoxy garage floor. I am not sure if I should trust the same dealer. Any advice from the experts? If anyone knows what is the problem I will go to the MB service and tell them what to fix instead of wasting time and playing with something they should not touch. Thanks for reading

hummm Black oil (engine oil) green fluid (radiator fluid) Check to see if the leak persists. Sometimes, hoses have to be removed to have access to other items and it may just have been an overspill on the frame that is dripping down.

...and one more thing: transmission

Besides rough idle and the leaks I recall that several times going up hill the
transmission would switch to lower gear; recently even pressing accelerator all the way down it did not switched down. Would this have anything to do with the leaks?

Remember there are two modes to the auto in the 05 320cdi - S and C - in S mode you are much more likely to have rapid shifts, in C you are likely to start in 2nd from a stop and there will be lss shifts as a result. Try hitting the s/c mode seitch next to the shifter and see if it behaves the way it used to.

Sucks that your cdi is having issues - we have been lucky so far with none. Had our for 16 months and 17k+ miles.

Angry tried that already

I drive always in S mode, but with the issues I tried switching S - C -S and no results; had accelerator all the way down going up hill 40mph and the tranny did not switched at all. Had that happen several times. Just now I parked the CDI into garage till Monday and as soon as I started it run like junk for a while and then the engine died.
