Do not get 20" rims. You will kill the quality of ride entirely.

I would go with a nice 19" rim with black centers and a chrome lip. I have a White E55 and I think the 19" SL65 AMG rims are pushing it now. I could only imagine what 20" would feel like.

Also you will kill performance with the larger wheels.

Agreed with the man above.

I personally would go HRE, 19" black wheels with a deep lip.

A perfect combination for a white car. It'll look much better than all chrome... I mean, come on, afterall, it is a Benz.

IMO, 20s look great for showcars, but they're not practical for daily use. Just imagine bending your rims on a frickin pothole. And go for black centers w/ polished lips. Would match well with your white E w/ pano!

Have to agree with all the previous posters…I’m in my early 30’s live in SoCal (the O.C.)…point being wheels/tires etc. are everywhere and I understand what is going on with wheels/tires right now… I could have got whatever I wanted and I went with 19’s…I think 19’s are the perfect compromise between performance, looks and ride quality…20’s look better IMHO but the car has to be lowered just the right amount, fenders will most likely need to be rolled regardless, ride will be compromised and you’ll have to shave bolts in the front to stop from rubbing…if you’re showing and cruising more than driving than go for it…otherwise 19’s are the way to go

i think getting 20' is still not that bad. unless u're planning to have a body kit.

but if u like to drive fast in your 500, then choose 19'

polished or black will be good for a white car.

thanks for all your input, i'm getting the black centers with polish lip. still uncecided on the size since it does look better to go with 20's but performance lie's with the 19's.

Just get the Airmatic suspension lowered and you will be fine. The gap will be gone and the ride comfort will still be there. Besides you will even eat tires faster with 20" rims lol. My 750li has 21" rims from the factory and while the ride is good it could be better. Its a tad bit jumpy sometimes but that may have to do with the tires. Also I would go as far as saying that the E's suspension wont like rims larger than 18 or 19 and it will induce more stress on the components.
