Thanks for the info. I went to leaseguide.com and did my homework. As it turns out, 690/mo with no downpayment is pretty good. This doesn't include the interest which I need to pay upfront.

My wife will be looking good in her new E.

PS anyone want to but a 2003 E500 sport with Nav and fold down rear seats?

 

Can you provide more details about the car? Options? Selling price?

 

I used to sell cars for 2 years.. I told you it was good... I can "smell" a bad lease just by some of the over all numbers.. :p

Hello and I'm new to Mercedes and this forum. I just leased an 06 E350 - with leather and Premium package/Lighting package and upgraded chromed wheels. The MSRP was $56,455 plus $1,500 for the wheels. The final price was $50,000 - on a 39 month lease with a drive off of 1st month, title, taxes and $1,000 cap reduction - and 15,000 miles per year - the drive off was $2,916. The residual is $34,193 - the cap. cost is $49,000 and the MF was .0235 - the base rent is $379 per month - the finance charge is $195 - lease payment = $574 plus tax of $44.48 = $618.48

What I can't figure out are some of the lowball monthly lease payments mentioned above. Please educate me if I'm doing something wrong but any payment that sounds too good to be true usually isn't and I work with numbers all day. I considered my deal OK - I got between $6,455 - $7,500 off - if you consider the cost to the dealer for the upgraded wheels -

So my questions is - what are the real lease deals that you have either been quoted on or have actually signed.

I have had the car for the past 3 months. I got the car when MBCC was offering those weird 13/27 month bridge leases.

 

I would say your interest rate was a bit high.. but not too bad, a respectable lease considering the car.

Went to pick up my Flint '06 350 4-matic with premium package yesterday. On the phone we had agreed on a price for the car and I was assured that all of the MB credit factors (i.e. residual and money factory) were still the same. I decided I would put $2300 towards cap cost.

When it got time to fill in the paperwork the sales manager first gave me a sob story about how they were losing money on this deal, to which my response was "I am not twisting your arm to sell this car" They then gave me a payment figure that was $35 per month higher than what I expected. For about 5 minutes the sales manager toggled among all of the fields in the lease software showing me that he had the right inputs. When I finally broke out my computer and pulled up my excel model he said "Oh, let me check one more thing". At this point he did a few key strokes and opened up a different menu in which they had loaded a hidden acquistion cost of $2000 (vs. the $795 amount quoted by mercedes). Until I proved that I was tight with numbers, they were trying everyway to screw me.

I was also provided some inaccurate information on sales tax which ultimately cost $400 more than promised, after some negotiating the dealer agreed to eat most of this.

All in all I feel like I got a good deal but recognize that anyone that is not sharp with numbers would have been screwed everyway to sunday. The dealers name shall remain nameless, but they are in Chicago (I believe Vegas and California too) and have the initials "FJ"

One thing I did find out is that the money factor is supposedly going up Nov. 1st, which will jack payments by about $16 per month.

My deal: $2300 cap cost red., payment of about $515 on an MSRP of $56,965.

 

I had a similar experience when I leased my '06 E350 last week (10/26), I knew I had to be prepared. I had developed a lease calculator of sorts in Excel and already knew the money factor and residual standard with the lease special that was in effect. Just as a test, I thought I'd have them show me the deal before sharing my pre-calculated details. Sure enough, they tried to screw me. It makes me so mad that all (or all least most) dealers do this. Once they tweaked the deal on their computer to make it agree bascially with what I'd calculated, there was some confusion on the money I was required to put down on the deal (having to deal with the amount of equity in my trade)--the sales person basically lied to me to get me to say "okay", then with the finance manager it was discovered I had to put down an additional $700 to get to the payment that I'd agreed to earlier. I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night! I hate that I have to go through this process each time I want to buy a new car.

same problem happened to me this past weekend with our purchase....thankfully, there's an after-purchase MB SURVEY and we'll get the last laugh

 

Looks like MB even made the lease special even better this month. The Money Factor is slightly more, but the residule is the same, 63%. And MB upped the dealer incentive to $3K.

Looks like MB is motivated at the end of the year.

 

The residual is fixed based on the number of months you lease the car.

$4900 includes what? Tag, title, cap reduction? or just cap reduction?

 

Employee price. Don't know about the excessive mileage charge.. I live within walking distance from work. The last car I had I only put 6700 miles on it in one year.
