If the first generation IS looks anything like a Corolla, and the second generation IS looks anything like a Camry...

I never debated the fact that the W211 from the side looks good. I just hinted at the view that you are ignorant for considering the evolution of the IS as going from a Corolla to a Camry.

But hey, I don't want to go through this again, there are hundreds of Mercedes owners like you, and that's why MBUSA is so successful.

I auto-x (or at least try) my car
I didn't know you were joking, my mistake, it's just irritating to see close minded individuals, and because of those individuals, it's hard to 'vote with your wallet' because companies like MBUSA can still survive and keep status quo by keeping us from getting all the really nice cars like all the Estate AMG's and many other things.

I know for some of the line up, you can cut a wire, but tracking will be through dead reckoning.

I might install a switch, so every now and then I can flip it to recover where I cam (in the LS430)
To enable the NAV during motion will only take a few seconds by pressing some buttons when the car is stop. I do it all the time in my GX470 and my wife can play with the NAV until the cow comes home. I have been a loyal Mercedes owner since I got out of school but I have to admit the Lexus, fancy Toyota as many of you refers to, is surprisingly good. IMHO, it rides just as good as the ML500 I test drove and at $47K it came with every option(except KDSS suspension), and it is a bargain. Believe it or not Lexus actually made the GX's door closing with the "thump" similiar to the Benz. Very solid and smooth truck. However, I will always buy Mercedes, AMG only. Because no one makes high performance street cars likes AMG, IMHO.

Are you talking about the trick of pressing one corner and then another corner and then this and that and then when you restart the car you have to do it all over again?
My mom can't remember that, much less remember my phone number.

And you insult the GX by comparing it to a ML500 in ride quality. KDSS is a godsend. Even without it, the ride is amazingly soft.

I think the *thump* is pretty stupid, my X5 has it, and it just makes everything sound cheap. I like the soft swish of the LS430 or the S-Class

Yes, press the corner in the volume page, and come on, it is not that difficult to remember the steps. Maybe some Chinese herbal crap will help out with the memory (J/K) Are you saying the GX470 or ML500 ride quality is better? I leave the suspension setting in sport mode to firm up a little. The wife prefers the softy. And you gotta give lexus some credit for trying to make the truck feels like a bank vault, such as Mercedes. BTW, the new LS is looking sharp

I've never ridden in a Lexus (except the IS's) that rode stiffer / firmer than a comparable Mercedes.
It's not difficult for me to remember the steps, I'm talking about my mom or dad though. They are the ones that buy the car, and they have a lot of other 'crap' to worry about then a simple procedure.
Hey, the older you get, the lazier? you get

2005 GX has the 270hp right?

Actually it is revised this year to 263 HP and the torque is about 320. It doesn't seem much on paper but it is quite lively when you floor it. I am still amaze how smooth the Lexus transmission is The only thing I wish the Lexus has is the voice recognition dialing for the bluetooth phone.

At the risk of offending our friend with the "modded" black W211 (and I apologize in advance if I do), to be quite honest, IMHO the all black E with the wheels looks worse than a bone stock one... I always hate when people monkey around with the look of a fine car. I like the cars the way MB made them, and adding and changing their wheels, body kits etc.. is childish in my opinion

So..

... with that.. I'll try a better version of the comparison..

the good: it's unique and not a MB/BMW knock off... it's very Japanese in design..

the bad: it's very Japanese in design.

You know, i wasn't gonna bash on anyone, i was just making jokes but stupid *** fools always have to talk some **** over the internet so let me be as tough as you and fire one back....

You asked me why don't i get pictures? Shiiiiiet....why don't you put up pictures of your wannabe bentley 300c? what's wrong, can't afford a real benz so you get the knock off chrysler? i bet you don't even own a benz, why don't you go to www.iboughta300cbecauseican'taffordarealbenz-world.org and post your rants there.

and please...a hooked up toyota? PUAHAHAHHAHAAHAHA....sorry, but everyone with a fixed up corolla on my block was unavailable for the photo shoot last weekend because they all just got new stickers and wanted to see how much horsepower gain they got from it.

you all obviously didn't see the post where i was joking but if you did, why do you get all butt hurt about it? Did i say something that reminded you of how your uncle used to grab your arm and make you touch him in private places? and if you didn't know i was joking, well..who cares anyway. hahaha.

that's becauase you're probably 100 about to fall over and croak, and people like me, roll down my windows with 2pac bumping out my 15" woofers in the suburbs just to roll next to you, and have you roll up your windows, but not only to damper the sound, but so you don't catch the second hand smoke from my blunt.

HAHAH..imho....
