Angry E500 issues

I have had my E500 for 11 months. Had to take it to the dealership 8 times for the SRS light. 2 times for the AC/FAN, They have replaced the front end springs.

Any one else having these types of issues.

Also, every 5K miles or so, there is a "FLAT" bell that goes off inside, but no lights to see what's going on?

is it a new car, or used car? if it's a 2003, it's probably one of the first production models that's riddled with issues.. if not, it's a lemon, demand a new car.

The Airmatic suspension has coil springs and bags:

"Electronically controlled pneumatic spring-struts integrate variable-rate shock absorbers and coil springs."

http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container...00W&class=06_E

Such a deal. I imagine that the coils are inside the bags, although I haven't cut open a bag to find out.

If your car has been to the dealer eight times for the same SRS light problem (can you be more specific?) I would tend to blame the dealer more than the car. I haven't had any problems with the SRS light or the AC fan. I don't know about the "flat bell", but I doubt that it's tied to mileage. Can you relate the sound to anything specific that the car is doing at the time?

The AC/FAN is a fairly common complaint with the E500. Do a search on this forum and you will get plenty of hits on air-conditioning systems shutting down for no reason and fans failing to operate. Here is a link to the most recent post:
