Transmission Issues with 2006 E350
Anyone else experiencing tranmission problems with a 2006 E class? I'm having two problems:
1. A few times a week, the gears are not shifting automatically creating RPM overload. I can manually shift, but it's a pain.
2. Every now and again, the transmission randomly shifts during accleration creating a whiplash effect.
I'm getting it looked at next week but am curious if others are having this problem.
My windshield also cracked yesterday. Apparently I had a small rock chip that, when combined with snow, created a fractured windshield.

When I picked up my car, my dealer said that if my transmission was shifting poorly to come back in and there was a software update that would fix it. I asked him what to look for and he said that I would know it if it was happening. Maybe that is what is up with yours.
