Question about Parktronic
Most of the photos I see of the E Class have the Parktronic switch to disable the system on the transmission console indicating its presence, but there is no evidence of the display ontop of the dash above the centre vent.
Does the display rise up from the dash (eg.when reverse is engaged) or is the display always there and I just can't see it?

Correct, but there is also a display on the front dashboard to give an indication to how close you are to the car in front.
That's the one I can't see.

CLK 320 Avantgarde
see below
It is on top of the dashboard, it only looks different, it is now a series of yellow and red dots.
On the first picture the car doesn't have parktronic but the next two do.
