dealers now have pricing on new E options and packages
of note, the sports pack on the E500 was $1350, and the nav $1200...in general prices for the options seemed to be below expected amounts or similar to other model option pricing

note
if you get the drive dynamic seats, you cant get the multicontours, and vice versa...I am thinking the drive dynamic would contain the multicontours, but who knows
also, if you get the active ventilated seats then you cant get the E5 package and vice versa, as active ventialted includes heated seats and then you would have to get the comfort wheel (which is included in E5) as a seperate single option

Great info Nabzy! Do you have any descriptions of what the packages include? I've heard that Drive Dynamic Seats are now part of the Sports Package. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks!
Thanks!

here you go guys
E1 - headlamp washers/bi-xenons - 1,150
E2 - sunroof/premium sound system - 1,550
E3 - sports pack (bi-xenons/headlamp washers/17inch rims/avantgarde package) on E320 add semi-active suspension - on 500 1,375 on E320 3,800
E4 - folding front seats - on E500 500 on E320 550
E5 - comfort steering wheel/heated seats - 875
so basically if you have an E500 forget about E1 and get the E3 sports pack because for 225 bucks you get better rims and the avantgarde package

not really sure
i know you get blue tinted glass in europe and I think you get that extra horizontal line in the front spoiler, plus the different rims and perhaps different wood trim, but thats just speculation, dealers should know soon

some answers
as far as the avantgarde package, the benz euro site shows it having a white instrument cluster, the 17inch "sport rims" that come with the sports package, black birds eye maple, and blue tinted glass http://www.mercedes-benz.com/e/cars/...avantgarde.htm
as far as the price on comand, I found it interesting that the new E and the old body style E wagon that will still be produced with the old comand for one more year both had a price of 1200 for comand in 2003 models...but the C class still had a price of 2125....so who knows what the price on the CLK will be, once I get prices I will post though...the prices for the options are at msrp, good luck getting any discount on them though with such a new model
no news on AMG kit, but if you can get the part numbers from Germany, many part depts will order them for you
and AL, Rick has always treated myself and my friends with a great deal of respect and knowledge, and I am sure he can give you a great deal on a new C (617 363 2533)

Base MSRP
I'm starting to hear that MB will reduce the price of the E320 compared to the 2002 E320 by as much as $2000USD. That should put it somewhere in the $47K range. I also heard that the E500 will be increased by as much as $2000USD putting it around $56-$57K.
My salesman said the thinking is that there is too much gap in the price between the C320 and the E320, and not enough gap between the E320 and the E500. The thinking is that there are so many standard features on the E500, it would be more attractive to go with the 500 instead of the 320 if the prices remained the same as 2002. Plus I feel MB needs to be competative against BMW, Lexus, Infinity, and Jaguar.

Very intersting, good thing the 320 is lower priced! Espeically with a leather option, come on its a Mercedes

Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread or another, but we all know Nav is on hold....but so is the Trunk closer according to our salesperson. Would be nice if they cleared that up in a timely manner, I think the trunk closer is a very cool feature.
Oh, folding seat (I think front) is on hold also.....but I don't care about that
According to the build sheet on MBUSA, they don't list a Sport package for the E anymore (call it something else). Which kind of makes sense, since it really isn't a sport package anyway.....MB A-holes.

That is correct that the split-folding rear seat with ski sack is a delayed availability option, not sure when it will be available.
