Trying so hard to avoid scratches on my e

I am not a careless driver, but have hit or scraped those annoying cement bumpers in parking lots that prevent you from parking too far foreward. In doing so, the bottom most part of my front bumper got badly scratched up. It's not visible when standing and looking, but the paint is very scratched. Does anyone have an idea to repair without repainting the entire bumper. My car is brilliant silver with the zano paint. Also, when body shops repaint, do they use zano? Thanks for any input.

I have the only real solution to this... a 3M clearbra.. go get one now, before the front of your car is further sandblasted.

click on my car's name to see pics of this item.. or not see it..

I can't help with your repair question but to avoid scraping your front bumper on those concrete bumpers, use your Airmatic suspension to raise your car as you pull into the parking space. This will usually allow the front bumper to clear the cement bumber.

You mean "nano". No, the nano technology is only used by Mercedes-Benz and not by non-MB repair shops.

I have a bunch of cars for which concrete parking stops are a potential problem.... Two suggestions, 1) Stop short of the stop and 2) back into the space.

You have to be careful with this though if you are going to be gone long as the air can escape and all of a sudden your front end is sitting on that curb. We talked about this a long time ago (probably early 2004)...

3M film no match for cement curb...

I don't doubt that the 3M clear bra material will help reduce damage from stone chips. But, I really doubt if it will be much of a defense against scratches on the bottom surface of the front bumper caused by driving over cement barriers. Plus, after being scratched, the repair will be much more complicated if the 3M film needs to be removed first.
