dealers are deaf

I took my car in for the recent recalls and also complained about this buzzing noise coming from somewhere behind the drivers seat. After numerous attempts to try and make this noise happen on-call, I failed. I told the service rep that if he drives my car around for n more than 5 minutes, he will hear this buzzing noise.

They couldn't hear the noise.

It's definitely not the speakers but it does sound like 2 wires touching to make a buzzzzzz noise. It could be my seat, or maybe something to do with the back head rests? Where else should I look? Thanks.

They are deaf yet you could not make the noise happen yourself.

Take it back and have them check it again. Insist that it makes the noise and possibly give permission to check it out overnight. Otherwise, have someone ride in the back seat and see if they can locate it. Just realize that if the technician drives the car for 3 hours and can not duplicate the noise, he gets paid zero....not a dime.

I had an 06 ML 500 with a buzzing noise from the rear cargo area a week ago.. I removed some panels and found a bent clip from the factory.. I replaced it and road tested the truck and honestly couldn't hear the noise. The client came back yesterday with the same noise. I went on a drive with him while I sat in the back of the truck and heard exactly where the noise was coming from. I pulled the panels and found that the ETR for the rear seat belt was rattling on the left side. Believe it or not, there is actually a DTB for this noise, but it only states that it is present on the right side ETR..

Good luck.

If its a "rattle" buzz, my drivers side rear door ash tray had a slight buzz vibration. I fiddled with it & it went away. The bass from my music used to cause it to vibrate. Maybe this is your problem too. It drove me nuts.

another possibility for a "rattle" buzz is the seat belt anchors (right word?) tend to rattle or buzz on my car. If I put my finger on it (the piece that slides up and down) it stops. Release it and bbzzzzz
