2006 e350 stereo/nav ???

I am a little confused on this one. I rec'd my car expecting a sweet HK stereo with 12 speakers. the i look into the grills on the back door and there are no tweeters. Mb is vague on the website when it comes to the stereo for the e350 but for the e55 it is very definite. did i ASSUME too much?

also for 2006 is the nav system all gray colors? the guide book shows bright coloring.

anyhow there car is sweet beyond that. had 6 miles when i got it and now has 200 so far so good.

The HK audio system is optional equipment and, for '06, comes as part of the 526 or 626 "Premium Package." Both packages also include navigation, so if you have navigation, you should also have the HK system as part of the same package.

Sweet.

i understand that

but i do not see 12 speakers, i do have that package. i feel i ordered smething i did not get. i see the hk name on the front door speakers and the logic 7 in the stereo screens. my questions is regarding the actual placement of the speakers.

i know a bit about stereos and such and when i look at the rear door speaker grill i only see the larger speaker of the two. can someone who also has a 06 check to see if theirs is the same?

is the harmon the same in the 350 as the amg?? i am believing it is not.

Go Listen to one with the basic radio. They are worlds apart! Then you'll know & it won't matter what you can see.

It wouldn't sound any better than the base radio, if there are components missing! If it sounds great, Its all there!

some slow@$$diesels
just because you do not see something it doesn't mean that it is not there...the front tweeters are easy to spot - those are in the upper triangle at the mirrorbase...the rear tweeters are not vissible from the outside - those are hardly vissible from teh rearside of the doorpanel either (once the doorpanel is off)...those rear tweeter sit slightly higher then the main doorspeaker...

and no - the sub is not longer there with the base soundsystem (that has been removed from 05 and up or something like that).

greetingz,
