E200K W211 (M271)

16" to 18" Wheels for E200K

With the OEM 225/55-R17 Conti PremiumContact tyres past 1yr, it's probably not too long before it's time to change them.

Thinking of upgrading the wheels as well from the default Elegence 16" to either 17" or 18". So far, I'm thinking of 17" Avantgarde style, or 18" Carlsson/AMG/Brabus.

What are your comments? What should the tyre profile be if I up from 16" to 17" or 18". Should I stick to 225, or go up to 245?

Thanks. I like the Carlsson wheels on the W211 too. But how's the ride comfort when you switched from 16" to 18"?

was '03 E320 - now - '04 S4

I went from the OEM 16"s to AMG 18"s. Looked far better. Tires were more quiet than the OEMs. Ride was minimally diminished.

Kind of joke IMO that it came with 16s to begin with since the car is so visually large.
