It might be nitpicking, but does anyone have a shaking passenger seat when driving on the freeway? When the passenger seat is without a person, the seat shakes while on the freeway. When I have a passenger in the seat they say that its smooth and there is no vibration.
What does everyone think.....should a $60,000+ car have a shaking seat???
Can't say that I've ever noticed that. Our E500 is the tightest-built car I've even seen. There aren't any rattles or squeaks at all, and I guess I'll have to add to that, no vibrating/shaking seats either. Sounds to me like something is wrong. Can you move or shake the passenger seat at all when the car is parked? You shouldn't be able to. If you can, I would take it to the dealer. Something might be loose or broken.

All of my cars do that when I am driving on rough roads or when my tires are out of balance. I have noticed that Mercedes cars can have wheels out of balance and you will not notice it, except when the passenger seat vibrates.
My W211 just started to do that at about 12,000 miles when I was driving on new roads, I had the tires load balanced and it went away. Even when the seat shakes, it never rattles.

I hate to stop this otherwise funny path, but unfortunately it is the seat back that vibrates, not the seat bottom :-(. But I bet someday there will be an option for this to happen.
