jerking transmission???

2005 E500 / 1993 MR2 Turbo
jerking transmission???
I am getting a noticeable jerking motion when the car accelerates and shifts from either 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th gear. I can feel and see the tachometer shift gears from 1st to 2nd smoothly. Then at a speed of about 37-40mph the gears shift and Its not smooth, there is a slight jerking motion. Its nothing rough or hard, but its enough to catch my attention. Anyone experience this?
