Scratch & dent sale…

I guess you must go to Florida often enough to be getting stuff correspondence them. I finally stopped receiving information at my home in Boca a few years ago.
But back to your post; I wonder how much money they already got from their insurance company? Either way, they are going to make a lot of money on these cars.
I think that I am going to sell out of South Florida in the next couple of months. I don't want to worry about hurricanes anymore and real estate is out of control.
Steve
Most guys here will not buy these cars even though the dealers take the insurance money and fix the cars prior to delivery for the new purchaser, because the guys here want their cars perfect & unrestored at the time of delivery.
Many many Broward (S. FLA) dealerships of every make & model, new & used used this advertising/marketing ploy to move cars. (Business as usual with a different "Blow-Out Sale" name).
The cars are delivered repaired & "like New" using the insurance money the dealer got. BUT the dealer either has his own body shop or gets special pricing from the guy he feeds, so the Dealer is making money on the insurance company & can sell the car for that much less if he wants. Thats all that's about.
If this sympathy sale ploy worked really well for the dealer, he will milk it & sell additional inventory for less, telling the vultures looking to peck out an eye that the car was minimally scratched, repaired, and now the vulture is really stealing this poor dealer's car!
The car business isnt what it used to be. There is fierce competition from around the world manufacturers & fat margins on new cars are only an occaisional gift on a brand new model or a really stupid customer. Its just another way to move merchandise.
