ESP & Active Headlight Problem

Hello,

We are having a weird problem with our 2005 E320

When you start the car in the morning after a minute or so a message pops up in the message center stating that the Active Headlamps are unavailable and then the ESP malfunction right afterwards. This has happened again this morning.

If we shut off the car and turn it back on the message doesn't come back!

Has anyone had this problem? What was the solution?

Thanks!

Rusty.

It sounds like you need a steering angle sensor. Both your esp system and
your turn lights need to know the position of the steering wheel. That is
why both warning lights come on.

No problem.

You shouldn't be so skeptical about your dealer though. They are there to help you.

Active headlight malfunction

My 2004 e500 gives me error message "headlight corning malfuction" not all the time but very often any solution for a fix? When the error message appears it shuts down the actiave headlights and acts like a stationary headlight.
