Sport Package

This is wierd........if you go to mbusa.com and try to build a e500, you can get a package to cancell the elegance package(non-sport) and also, there is no more sport sport package, it is part of the e1 package, and it comes like this....
Bi-Xenon Headlamps, Headlamp Washers

· Black Birds Eye Maple Trim, Blue Tinted Glass
· LED Brake Lights, Sculpted Side Skirts,
· Front Bumper, Rear Apron,
· 17" Sport Wheels with 245/45 R 17 tires

I guess the back lights are a little different also. the non-sport package comes like this

167 Standard Non-Sport Pkg.

· Delete Elegance Trim
· Light Alloy Wheels (225/50 R16)

Seems kid of wierd to me, i suggest you call your salesperson to see what this all comes down to

Looks as if the site is going under some changes in preperation for the launch date. I wouldn't rely on the information as being completely accurate, but it seems we should be getting the complete info in a couple of days.

2000 E-class
damnnnnnn, MB have my car built in late july, how can they change the option???. oohhhhhh, i hate thiss . If I didnt choose the sport package ,is that mean I get the classic model????? because in option 167 Standard Non-Sport Pkg.

· Delete Elegance Trim
· Light Alloy Wheel 5 Double-Spoke
· Elegance Edition

they said "Elegance edition" , So if i dont choose this, mean i get classic???

Anybody know about this?

When I spoke to my dealer late last week, he said that the E-Class launch date is scheduled for August 6th. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

As for what level of trim package you will get, I think you won't get anything less than the Elegance package.

I'm in the same boat as you are in regards to changing options. My car is scheduled to be built today. I wanted to add the 4-zone climate control once I foundout the it is an option on the 320.

This is interesting...so...if you don't get the E1 package...does this mean you get non-LED brake lights? Seems confusing for M-B to produce two different types of the same part...

Delete Elegance only means that US spec vehicles do not get the Elegance badging on the gear shift knob and the badge on the side fenders. US spec also gets different wheels from the Elegance package slated for non US market
