Note on the last Pic there is BOTH an MB emblem/badge on the top of the grille AND a hood ornament on top.

a few...

i cant wait to see what the official ones will look like. Looks like the grill has been changed and the headlights position tweaked but what do I know.

Whats up with the hood ornament AND the grill MB emblem?

Hood ornament and badge

Good spot Barry. I think they are trying to match the 07 S Class which has a similar hood ornament and badge embedded in the grill. I just bought a badge which I am going to put on my car, like my old 240 D. It's from an older model. I will post pictures after I do it. If the grill for the new E fits, it might be a nice retrofit.

Maybe it's because I'm use to seeing the W211's with the current mirros, but I don't quite like how they look on the E.. The look good on the CLS cause that's the only way we know it... you kinda get used to something I guess.

it's consistent with prior MB lineups... they all usually share the same mirror.

I guess by the time the new S grows one me, and they introduce a diesel version, I'll have learned to like'm!

Nah, the friggin’ car is fantastic, period! It’s just I like to try to stay ahead of the masses here in Scottsdale. Lease is up 10/08 (36/45000). Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the 212 was slated for ’09 and, if so, should be deliverable late ’08 therefore fits into my choice range.

If not, well the S should be bug free by then (I hope).

Then again, you'd have to buy, at a bare minimum, a truck, just for show!

There's a couple of W210s here in the hood, a couple of brand new Vettes, tons of Harleys, a Viper, and one guy has 4 hot rods! One SC Lexus and then the run o' the mill cars.

I don't venture to SDL...too scary! :v
