13,000 mile service

A while back, I posted a concern that the fabric on the driver door pillar had worn from me getting in and out of the car. A couple-inch hole, actually. I took the CDI back to the dealer last week for service, and before I could start my complaint, the service manager said, "That shouldn't happen. We'll fix that under warrentee". Guess we need to pass along a compliment about a dealer and service department, when they happen, 'cuz we're sure not shy about sharing complaints. The dealer is I.G. Burton, in Milford, Delaware.

I would like to see a list on these MB forums with the "good" dealers listed and the "bad" ones also, so we can decide who we want to give our business to. Of course, there's probably liability involved in doing this. We'll just have to live with people like yourself, posting good things about specific dealers.

Regards,
Paul...

I wish my dealer were that good when I showed him the corrosion on my rear two wheels. They told me it is not covered under warranty! I plan to fight it

Thumbs up

I took the CDI in this a.m. for the door pillar fabric replacement. An hour later, the car was washed, the fabric replaced, and I was handed a "no-charge" invoice. Geez: They did what they said they would do. I've already steered some fellow MB owners, who are not getting good treatment from another nearby dealer to I.G. Burton in Millford, DE.
