Commnad NAV update
I purchaced my W211 here in Stuttgart 3 weeks ago, and figured that I would just purchace my DVD nav disks 1-2 years old, they would get me thru the next year w/out spending $500 for a years worth of use. What I've learned is that MB did an upgrade on the Command DVD navigation system that wont allow the system to use any nav DVD's older than v5.0. I dont know how much this will impact my fellow US W211 drivers, but for anyone that has purchaced a W211 (build date after Jan '06) be aware, if you buy nav DVD's of an older version, they probably wont work.

You get the very latest Navigation DVD with the car? Why buy an older version?

Actually, because it's a US spec W211, they gave me USA disks, not Europe DVD's. I dont want to spend that amount of $$$ for something I'm only going ot use for a year or so.
