I installed my star today and it looks great. I will get some pics soon.

One question. Do you have to twist the mechanism so that it is straight? It doesn't feel as though I can turn it anymore and so it is a little off from being vertical. I didn't turn it anymore afraid of damaging the badge or hood.

The locking mechanism will not turn a full 90 degrees (it doesn't on the original upright star, either). As long as it is snug in the hood divot, it is fully installed.

LAST CALL...

I am making the last batch of ten WHITE STAR Flat Badges this weekend. One is already sold. That leaves 9 left to be spoken for, sold in the order payments are received.

I am unable to re-establish communications with the factory overseas that made the WHITE STAR inserts for this product. I fear they may be out of business. Accordingly, I will have no choice but to terminate production after I exhaust the current inventory of parts.
