Bluetec and Greenhouse Gases??

I noticed that the Bluetec engine add-ons will reduce NOx and particulate emissions by scrubbing them and producing CO2 as a byproduct. Does anyone know if this will paradoxically INCREASE the greenhouse gas emissions from Bluetec cars?

We could offset the increase by banning beer and soft drinks, as they emit CO2 as well.

Who cares?

In 7,000,000,000 years the sun will expand and incinerate the entire planet earth. So live it up, there's nothing we can do about it, eventually planet earth is a gonner, its guaranteed.

Ken,

You are right. All that oil underground is not doing any good if we do not burn them. I am going to go out in the autumn (when the 2007s come in) and get a 2006 CDI with the iron block straight six without those pesky triple "converters" and urea (chemically similar to urine) injection V-6 engines coming out in 2007. I note that you have a Carlsson tuning box in yours. Where did you get it and how much? Do you recommend this or the Kleemann box? The latter looks cheap. Any drawbacks?

Many thanks.
