Question Given the choice 4 a rear bumper / AMG (4 pipes) or AMG Sport (2 Pipes)

So looks like I will be ordering a new rear bumper...I currently have the non-exposed pipe version / What do you think go with:

the AMG/Sport Package Version

Or the full E55 version

No AMG badge will be on the car, probably will leave the E350 there (slight chance I'll de-badge, proud of my 350, and not trying to be an E55, I would have one if I wanted one)...and no need (for you) to worry about the logistics involved with plumbing the exhaust or the side-skirts etc.. / I like the exposed pipe look so either one will be good...just thinking whether or not the 4-pipes will be too much on my V6...I'm leaning toward the 2-pipe look to keep the car in line with what was available/is available on the non E55 cars...but???

TIA Chris

and oh yeah, before I forget...please no "you shouldn't care what I think" posts or the equally popular "it's your car, do what you want" posts

So, are you really going to buy what the majority here feels is right for you or are you going to get what YOU really want????

That being said, I like the single's and you should get what YOU like.

You know now that I think about it...I should have asked "why" that's really the telling part...if I simply ask what you like it does me no good...but if I ask what you like and why...thats an interesting read.

For my 2-cents
While I like the quad look, I think the quad look along with an E55 bumper is posing a bit too much for my taste...the dual singles still look nice and are factory appropriate for the car...

Quad tips with AMG badge...

Some members might scrutinise me for this but I believe if you have the AMG exterior package, you're entitled to put the badge on to reflect the AMG styling you have.. Whether you actually put it on is your own choice.

As for the E55 badge, it should remain solely for true E55 AMGs. I saw an SL 350 the other day with AMG styling and the owner had the ///AMG badge on.. I must admit I held a lot of respect for him , since I saw an SL500 earlier that same day with an SL55 AMG badge on (I could tell from the brake calipers it wasn't a true SL55). So at least the SL 350 owner is being honest about it!

Dual single tips. It looks cleaner, and less cluttered; albeit, less aggressive.

My $.02.

If you don't own an AMG don't put the AMG logo on. Thats my take on things. However, I like th clean look of both, but you arent going to get any extra performance out of the quad pipes, so go with the singles, plus it wont pose as much either.

Go For the Sport AMG Bumper with the Single tips...Then (IF) you change your mind One CAN trim the rear valance to clear the Quad pipe Exhaust

Steve did the AMG55 Bumpers/Exhaust on the Wifes W211 and It looks Great!

Dual (single) tips. The rear of the W211 is visually "busy" as it is, what with the rear badge(s) and the tristar crowded between the trunk line and the brake light. The less added visual clutter at the rear the better. Of course, the hidden exhaust you already have is cleanest of all, but if you just gotta have the nonfunctional exhaust tips, keep the look as clean as possible under the circumstances.

Go with the QUAD tips that come from under your bumper..... I think that looks the best..lol

No seriously... I'd still with the OEM dual tips.

you got it...all i have to do is come up with a VIN number from an amg/sport (e350/e500) so I can get a part number, the 3 dealers here in SoCal (one of which I visited live to address this issue)...are clueless
