IPOD Integration installation
I did a search but didn't find a topic that was right.
But, I jsut ordered an integration kit off of ebay and was planning on installing it myself. Has anyone done this? Anything I should know going into it. Or, should I just not try and give it to car toys or the MB dealership?

thing to know is that you have to run wires from left rear (in the trunk) to right front (under the dash)...the 211 is not the easiest car to put an Ipod kit in (4 hours of labor at a mercedes dealership is quite common)

Wow, I thought all I was going to have to do is go from the glove box to behind the Command. Didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal. What is in the trunk? If I have to go to the trunk with a wire, I am not doing it myself.
Do you think Car toys can do this? They are going to be a lot cheaper than the dealership for installation.
I am guessing you are not going to be in the Houston area anytime in the near future? I think I still have a 200 deposit sitting with you for an installation that was never done on an SL500.

Just talked to my buddy at Car Toys. Looks like they have the contract with the local MB dealership to do the audio work. I can go to them and have them do it for 250. I think the MB dealership was going to charge 500-600. All they were probably going to do is pay Car toys 150 and then pocket the rest. So, looks like that is what I will do.
