I don't know if it's my imagination or if it's the microfiber towels, but whenever I use microfiber towels to dry my car, it seems that my car wax doesn't last as long as when I use regular cotton towels for drying. By that I mean the next time I wash my car I notice a lot less water beading on the paint.
Anyone have any similar experience?
I just use Mother's or Meguires or whatever 5 gallon jug is on sale at Costco. I don't use Zaino because quite honestly I don't have the time to put 20-30 coats of wax on my car.
I used to be crazy about what I used on the car. First I used 100% egyptian cotton then I went to microfiber now I am back to whatever is clean. I really didnt notice a difference but I dont have a black car so that might make a difference. The thing I like about microfiber is they leave no lint crap.
That is a good one. Mine are about the size of a wash cloth. Where did you get that one?
Its 30x20. It's really soft and they call it cashmier microfiber (just a fancy name but it is softer than most "Regular" microfiber in the market). I was helping a buddy on how to import goods and he showed me this product that's his vendor overseas provided him that he might sell. The material is no different than your higher end microfiber but it's the size that is unique. If he decides to carry this towel, I'll let you know. He let me have one of the samples and I'm gong to try it out this weekend.
Just to see the scale of this towel, here it is with my Treo 700. Also have to remember a Treo is a pretty big phone.
While on the topic of microfiber towels, I purchased a natural sea sponge to wash my car. When I got the sea sponge, it felt a bit rough so have been afraid to use it. Even after wetting the sea sponge, it still felt rough. Any ideas? Did I get the wrong sea sponge (bought it off an car detailer web site).
