i've lost count
leather split top center armrest / console
how can i find/order a leather split top center armrest for a 2006 e500?
the car has one of those roll-things, and its terribly uncomfortable for resting your elbow on.

Thanks for asking that question, that's the problem with SO many of the W211's , that they shipped here with the base unit - that godawful rolling wooden center console...I don't know what they were smoking when they designed that, but it's painful! I was just about to ping him to see if he had an upgrade available...doesn't sound like it would be too much of a problem to replace...

I wonder how much the swap costs. When we picked up ours, I was very concerned about which console we would get. At that time, no one had seen the roll-top console yet. When we dropped the car off (it was a European delivery, we dropped of in Munich), about half the cars awaiting shippent had the new console. We lucked out.
MB, especially MBUSA, really has there product planning pretty screwed up. They are busy deleting features that are standard or available on all the other cars in the class (5-series, A6, Lexus GS, Infinit M, Acura RL, Cadillac STS).

I'm not sure, but i'll ask. I think the standard material is similar to what's used on the dashboard, but I could be mistaken...
