2004 E500 with torque or acceleration problem.
My European E500 has acceleration problems, it has had them for a while but I am now taking the time to solve it.
Say I am going 55Mphr, when I press the gas pedal it feels like an old diesel engine and not what an E500 should feel like.
Just finished with my SA and he suggested that I change the transmision valve box.
Does anyone here know of this problem or the solution?

Are You still under warranty? Where are you located?
If you are, that could be one of the problems. My valve body was replaced, and my programming was updated. I still don't think the 7 speed transmission is so hot though.
