What the real fix for this?
Who knows the real fix for the brake pedal squeak/squish sound. I only have about 950 miles and had it from day one but it went away for awhile and now if the cars sits for a few days it comes back. I remember the shop foreman telling me it's just some extra nitrogen and it will go away, but now its back. I remember reading abut this some time ago as it has something to do with the SBC brakes and lots of W211's had this issue, I can't (yea I CAN!) believe MB is still producing late 06's without correcting this problem during production; then they wonder why their initial quality ratings suck So what's the long term fix?
Thanks

Man, RJC you have the worst luck My car was made on October 25, 2005, sat at the VPC until April 2006, and I don't have any of the problems you have listed so far. So far I am quite impressed with the SBC brake and no squishy noise after 1800 miles. Good luck in resolving your problem.

BTW here a short list of what needs to be addressed at the service:
Shimmy @ 55-60
Rattle in instrument cluster
Brake pedal noise
Driver's seatback cover needs replacement
Steering wheel pulls to the right at low speeds when applying the brakes
Other than what's mentioned above I really like the car, but MB needs to get their ***** together

Note: The DTB specifically mentions model 211, 2003 through 2005. However, given the nature of the repair I doubt your dealer will have any problem justifying a warranty repair.
