Anyone Done Aux Cable To Ashtray Or Sunglass Drawer?
I need help running a aux cable from the glove box to either the ashtray or the sunglass drawer. I have a IPOD and it's getting old trying to scan through songs by reaching over to the glove box. Can someone tell me how to run the cable through to get to the ashtray or the little sliding drawer. thanks

I did get a longer cord, but I'm trying to keep the clutter down for a clean look. The cord gets snagged on my brief case, grocery items, whatever I have on the front.

It is my understanding that as long as the vehicle has a COMAND head unit, the MB IPod kit will work.

i did it on my clk. it did not have glove comp. feed. made my own from connection under carpet and fed it to ashtray. i have sold that car and getting a e350 and will "divert" a new connection to ashtray. i will take pics if someone is interested.
b.t.w i tried it to armrest but found that i was distracted more trying to see the screen on the ipod when driving.

Try this link...
I did it then removed it prior to MB sirius install. Drill a hole through the glove box then run a long stereo cable from the back of glove box thru the back side of the center console, into the ashtray cavity. Its tight - a hanger and some tape may help, but it works fine.
this is the link i posted - hope it helps...

I bought the cradle from Amazon. I will take everything a part again and write up step by step instruction this weekend with pictures. It's only take about 20 minutes max.

Hey, thanks a million for the pics. I have a question. Can't you go directly from the light (inside the glove box) to the cigarette tray? I looks like from the pictures, you went down, and then back up. Maybe, that's the only way, but I am just checking to be sure.
Thanks again, great job!

Yes, you can go directly from the light to the cigaretter tray. Because I already did it and took it apart again, that's why it looks like im going up. Basically, just open the light inside the glove box and drop the cable down and use something flexible from the tray to the other side, like the picture.
