As promised: New shoes on the E500. Lowered via Star and washer method--PICS!!!

So, I had my car lowered via star diagnostics, and while it looked good, it didn't look great. Since the front fenders are cut higher than the rears, there was just a bit too much fender gap in the front for me. So I slapped on some new 19's and slammed a few washers in the front links and this is what I ended up with. The pics were taken with the suspension set to sport I mode.

What do you guys/gals think??

Very nice! I think silver painted centers look best on a silver car.

THANKS!!

I'm definately loving the look. I think I'll do exhaust next. Give it a little rumble. Not too much, it is a daily driver.

Actually, no.

I never touched the rear sensor at all. I had the whole car lowered via star orginally. But since the front fender wells are cut higher than the rears, it made the car look a bit higher in the front even though it was perfectlyh level. It still needed a little bit of a drop in the front, in my opinion. So I added 3 washers to each side, and BLAMO! That's what I ended up with.

I pretty much drive around in Sport I most of the time. I know the car lowers itself a little bit more at speed so I really wonder what it looks like going down the road at 80 mph. I have had ZERO tire rubbing in the front or the rear so far though. If I ever do, out come the washers. One at a time though.

you know, my car had uneven sized rims before when i had mine star diag'd. I put a few washers in and the only thing that did was pretty much maintain the height it was already at. I think i'm going to put in 1 or 2 more washers, or maybe even take them out now that I have new rims.

Do you think I need my car re-diag'd?

I wouldn't think you'd ever need to get a car re-diag'd. However, they way I understand it, is that every car is different when it comes to lowering via Star. Some will get .50" in drop where some get 1.5" drop. So, maybe you have one of the rare birds that can only drop a little bit. It won't hurt to have the alignment guy who lowered yours the first time take another look. Since you've already paid them for it, I would think they would honor it. Give it a shot.

Also, you said you had "uneven sized rims". Did you really have different sized wheels on your car? That seems kinda whacky.

Good luck.
