E500 electronic key doesnt work
My spare key does no longer works, I thought it may have been a battery issue anyone know the best way to get this fixed? Benz told me to bring it to a locksmif to have them reprogram it wtf??

What part of the spare key doesn't work? Will it lock and unlock the car? Will it start the car? If the issue is lock/unlock, change the battery. If the issue is not starting the car, you may need to replace the key. No locksmith can reprogram the key.

Same with mine. The dealer said it may have something to do with the unit that interprets the key signal on the car, possibly located near the top of the back window. Not sure though, part is on order.
