Need to hook up iPod... E350...
I need to hook up my iPod to the auxilary input in the back of the stereo. What is the best way of going about and doing this?

Purchase the MB Ipod kit and have it installed..Its a LOT of work but its factory..and NO Hacking
Steve @ www.mbenznl.com can get the kit and if needed install it.

Do you want to have your iPod integrated with the audio system, so that you control the iPod from the car's controls, and see the iPod display on the car's MFD? Or do you just want to input the iPod into the audio system, but are willing to control everything from the iPod? If the former, you need the dealer-installed iPod integration kit. If the latter, just get a patch cord from RatShack and plug it into the glove box jack - no need to get behind the head unit.

How much does the dealer iPod integration kit go for?

The MBUSA web site says that the MSRP of the kit is $299, installation not included. As Mark Cummins pointed out, "Steve", the retrofit wizard, can install it if he's in your vicinity, or you can pay the dealer whatever it is they want to install it. I have no idea what the going rates for installation are.
