Rumors are swirling that the new body style Mercedes-Benz E55 won’t be a 2003 model…Our spies say MB won’t be accepting dealer orders until March 2003. Hence, the first units won’t show up until June or so and will be tagged as 2004 models.

Thats not really secret info........I was at the dealer last week and saw the sheet that outlines the production schedule for all the models. It states that Netstar will start accepting orders in March 03 (not sure of the exact day) for the E55. So figure 2-3 months for delivery after that.

The late launch appears to be only in USA. The Europe introduction is apparently confirmed for October 2002 and the dealer in New Zealand told me today my E55 would be one of the two arriving before Christmas 2002.

Have to agree with pre christmas W211 E55 deliveries. Mine has been promised as an early christmas present from my dealer in Australia. W210 E55 was released in Australia August 1998, not until 1999 for the US
