You mean, nothing happens when you press the little silver bar on the right side of the cupholder unit? Have you checked that nothing, such as the console door, is physically blocking the cupholder from folding out?
The manual says that the cupholder unit can be removed for cleaning but, regrettably, it has to be open to be removed.

You've got nothing to lose by pushing the silver button & pulling up on the cup holder with the silver button depressed. (You know how it unfolds). Maybe a little soda/coffee spilled & has dried & hardened.

not surprise about the cupholder. Cuz my broke, it won't close, when i flip it down, there was a spring inside it broke. So I got it replaced under warranty
