Money Factor and Residual
Usually, one disadvantage of leasing, particularly if you are contemplating purchasing the car at the end of the lease, is that the buy out price is calculated as a percentage of STICKER. Most cars can be obtained at least a few thousand dollars below sticker so you end up losing that negotiated discount on whatever percentage remains. With these cars everything is sticker so that isn't an issue. Also, if you pay over time, I think you pay the luxury tax as you go and since that is going to be phased out 1/1/03 you can probably save most of that as well.
Answers and advice appreciated.
I hear the residual for the 2003 CLK is 68% but I would like to find out what is the best residual value that you can get from your dealer and what is the best money factor.
Thank you again
I heard on this forum that the Gas Guzzler tax is done at year end but I can't find any data on the web to confirm. Is this true for sure?
