Sprint and AWS Bluetooth V-60 Adapter ?

I unfortunately broke my V-60 phone that came with my MB phone system. l want to now use the Audio Wireless solution's v-60 blue-tooth adapter suggested by Mercedes to expand my phone options. The kicker is I am locked into Sprint(not approved with the AWS bluetooth for some reason). What BT phone options will work from Sprint? Blackberry would be great. I just want to make sure the phonebook uploads to command. Any help is appreciated.

I did some search, and found Sanyo Katana might be your solution:

BMW FTW
So far with sprint the katana seems to work with everything. The samsung phones are very picky and work with crap. I know for BMW bluetooth the katana works fine but my samsung A900 does not work right and crashes all the time.

Thanks everyone I am going to give the Katanna a try with the puck. I did find I could also just replace the v-60 from autowireless at $505. It is a CDMA phone for Verizon that should work with Sprint which is also CDMA but it just seems silly to spend that $$$ on such a crappy phone. The bluetooth will definetly open up some phone options. I still do not understand though why MB will not certify Sprint or vice-versa. I also hate that my company has standardized on Sprint.

I have bad news with Katana...

No phonebook download, no call list download, no speed dial...

Answering phone call on steering wheel is ok, but, not making any phone call.
I have to use COMMAND to dial phone numbers.... It means I have to memorize phone number...

PS: I use UHI with MHI bluetooth interface. It might be the cause.

Hope you don't experience the same situation like me.

sprint and treo

I have sprint and a treo 650. This kind of works with the bluetooth puck (which is inplace of the V60). It really serves only as a "wireless headset" The phonebook, speed dial, etc doesn't work.

I think my contract if broken will cost me $200

My contract of 2 yrs is going to be up soon and I will be switching to Cingular and a Motorola phone
