So I was told October 15th will be the on sale date for the 07 E320 CDI V6. The dealer might get them in the first week of October but can not sell them until the 15th. Anyone else receive similar information or have a 07 E320 CDI on order?

That's what my dealer told me.

I have the dealer's first BlueTec allocated on order, and have advised my salesman that I will not take delivery if ULSD is not widely available. The pumps at the few stations around my home that carry diesel are still labeled for the 500 ppm stuff. One station (Shell) told me that they had converted to ULSD, but that the pumps had yet to be relabeled (which is odd, as selling a fuel different than what the label states seems improper). I know that the stations are "supposed" to change by then, but since the BlueTec requires ULSD and can't run on the 500 ppm stuff, I don't want to get caught for any period of time with a car I can't drive due to a lack of fuel.

Yeah that is actually against the law in most states not to re-label a fuel pump when what is being sold has changed! The new diesels will run on the old stuff, but it will dirty up the particulate filter I'm told and/or could harm the engine, not worth the risk. MB should hold back the cars until January, but then again they could hold them back forever and someone will still put the old stuff in their car because they're not paying attention and/or clueless. There will be 07's in the shop within weeks after they go on sale because some buyers won't even pay attention to what they're putting in their cars. Watch and see.

After October 15 there's not going to be any "old stuff."
